My Story
Certified through the Peristeam Hydrotherapy Institute by Steamy Chick
When I started steaming – in 2016, at age 33 – my only regret was that I hadn’t started sooner. It brought back circulation and natural lubrication to my pelvic floor that I didn’t even realize I was missing. In doing so it drastically relieved any pain and numbness I had been experiencing, it helped bring my increasingly long and painful periods down to 4 cramp-free days of fresh red flow, it helped me sleep better, and it brought me into a deeper, more connected and pleasant relationship with my body and womb space. I have since felt the calling to guide as many others to this yummy and powerful practice as possible.
With a background in film and a Master’s degree in Communications MGMT from University of Southern California, I created the short film Steamy Chick: Demystifying the V Steam to help answer some of the most FAQ’s and provide a visual to the process.
From exploring setup options, to customizing a monthly regime that best fits your needs and lifestyle, to finding the right herbal blends for your body, to holding space for wherever you might be on your journey and helping guide you to whatever other resources you might need along the way, I love to talk about steaming.
I am currently certified at the level of Peristeam Facilitator (PFc) - which means I am able to help get you started steaming as safely and conscientiously as possible and can assist with general cycle imbalances. I will refer you out to a Peristeam Hydrotherapist (PHc) as soon as I see the need.
